Hello!
Ξ€here was no upgrading that would affect media uploading on theme. I guess that has to do with Octobercms system updates. Try to clear cache using a Octobercms plugin for that reason.

Can't edit the media on the pages either. And if I add new media ... i get also an ? on the place of the preview and under it the correct file name.

Just a little update:

Installed plugin to empty cache: As a result the right pane which display the blocks of the selected page was complete empty. When I tried to select a page to edit, nothing happens ... So I could not edit any pages. Because I had to fix the problem in this weekend ... to get my page live again ... I made the decision to remove my CMS directory and uploaded the CMS directory of my local test environment and connected the database again from my live server. Got my media back and all works fine now. So for now, no plugin and system updates on my live server. Will try to figure out which update caused the disapearing of media and the (No) edit pages problem on a test environment.

Don't know what's causing it but this might help someone. After the latest update:

  • The Success theme loses all images
  • CMS pages work fine
  • Success theme images with hard coded urls are fine

Our CMS is in build mode and 2 directories in from the root. So base url is /one/two/ for example

Before backup image links looked like /one/two/storage/xxxxxxxxxxxx

After update we have /one/two/one/two/xxxxxxxxx

Here's how we fixed it until the cavalry arrives go to webroot on the server shell Assuming your web root is /one/two (as in example above )

mkdir one
cd one
mkdir two
cd two
ln -s ../../storage

Hope whatever is broken in the plugin gets fixed soon Post back if this isn't clear :-)

Hi there,

My project is now working fine ... local and on the live server of my hosting partner. There were some unexplained problems (missing images) but I solved it in the following way.

  1. I updated all my plugins (except the RainLab Pages plugin) and the system first.
  2. Then I updated the RainLab Pages plugin.

At that point I could not edit existing pages (only add new pages). When I noticed that it had something do do with browsers, I did the following:

  1. In Safari I disabled the AdBlock extension and loaded the backend again while pushing the reload button and choose for the option "Reload Without Content Blokkers". Then I could load and edit my pages again.

Hope this is useful for other new customers!
