It's glad to find October as my project framework. Now I have a problem and need your help:

I have to deploy the similar(can have same project ID) website for different customers on different/distributed host(different site name, config, etc.), so it will waste a lot of time when to update my plugins on all host. Since the plugins I develop are restrict to specific uses, I am not sure will October will allow my uploads and also actually I don't want to make it public on the plugin market. I wanna know is there a way to solve this problem, like packagist handling with personal packages?

I saw there is a "hide plugin" feature in the document, I don't know will that be helpful? but it seems need to upload and public to the market first.

I have similar concerns and the way I have been handling it is by having private github repos for each of the plugins I need. Then on each of the sites, I setup a service hook to automatically pull in changes when the github repo is pushed to.

+1 for this if we can associate private plugins and theme to projects for easy one click install.

Our agency would even pay for that, which can be a new income for october team (or maybe a feature given to official partners ?)

Hi Troicent

We have almost something ready for testing at watchful.li

It include a remote updater. You can send a zip package to update/install on multiple site from one place. It work also with a github address. https://watchful.li/tools#remote-installer

Hi, thank you for your answer.

I'm not sure to understand your service, it seems to be available for wordpress / joomla, but I don't see any october mentions.

In addition, I would prefer to not have to manage another external dashboard. What we want is the possibility to install non-public plugins and themes when we fill the project ID when we install a new october CMS instance, it's different.

Regards,

Alex

I have just replied to the other thread related to this issue. https://octobercms.com/forum/post/can-i-submit-a-private-plugin-on-october-marketplace?page=1#post-19387

We have open-sourced the work done so far on this functionality. Hopefully the community can come together to build this.

@troiscent Thanks for your message. no mention of october because it's at the internal testing stage now.

And you a right, it's an external dashboard we build to follow all our sites and decided to create a Saas with it.

Improving the octobercms.com dashboard will be great :) Have a good day
