← Back to Modular Theme with PAGE BUILDER - Clear Support
I have 2 sites running the Clear theme. A couple of days ago I updated the software via the CMS dashboard and both sites suddenly stuck with the Clear pre loader endlessly running. I turned off the Pre Loader in settings and the pages now load. The browser dev console revealed that a number of variables were not being defined and that the jQuery library was not loading - “ Uncaught Error: The jQuery library is not loaded. The OctoberCMS framework cannot be initialized.” I’ve tried loading jQuery through Google’s CDN via a head partial and the Console error has now gone. The pre loader is till not working however along with other script driven features such as the Owl slider. Can anyone help or advise?
Thanks Michael

Hello Michael!
Check if you get the same errors if you enable debug mode on octobercms config.
Do you use "minified assets" feature on octobercms config?
If yes try to disable this feature.
Hi Charis and thanks for your reply and assistance.
I've enabled debug and that seems to have fixed it which is great but this also implies that the theme and October's core have some incompatibility? Is there anything else I should monitor or be aware of? What about future updates? Love the theme by the way, so nice to let client's easily update content without code.
regards Michael

I managed to find the cause of the problem. It was popper.js version problem. I updated theme, so try to update theme to latest version to fix it. (as always you have to save pages data before you update theme because you will lose all changes you have made.)
