Any plans on doing an import script for new products? Sure would be handy right now.

I have started to add import / export features because of the great import/export feature given by OctoberCMS, which is clearly what I wanted to make :)

I' have already added import / export to brands and I will add it to products and categories soon. The only limitation for now will be importing custom fields.

The product import will be a great start, but will it take into account the 'defaults' for any existing custom fields? So that the relating records are created like they are when you manually create a new product now? If they will be made just as they are now, then I can at least just do a simply run of update queries to get all my custom fields in and that would be fine. That's what I'm doing now, but I have to create the skeleton product first, then do a quick update. Saves me from manually putting everything in for each product... just to the very minimum.

Actually it's a very basis, so you can import only product title, url and description.

In the futur I will add functionality to select the group products belongs to, so the custom fields of this group will be automatically added to the products and setting with the default values.

But it will not be very flexible because you will have to split your import file into smaller files for each product group.

It would also be great to be able to link to Brand (and why not even Stores), so pretty everything could be managed from the import feature.

I would like to have feedback about that from people (like you), using this plugin, because choices will be made in order to make life easier for youy/them, in the most frequent uses.

You can open an issue on the plugin's page on github about that, and I would really be happy to discuss about that with you and the other users, so I can take the best option for the futur of import / export feature.

Why i cant import product i need it urgent.as i try to import it says 78 errors 8 skipped and after that nothing imported.the file which i imported shows all the titles merged so i cant even automatch.is there any problem in my csv file
