This plugin is independent of bootstrap or is required to add some extra js/css?

Hello @ribbsousa!

This plugin uses Bootstrap Notify v3.0.0. You can see dependencies of this version of plugin here.

Also make sure that you have a {% scripts %} tag in your template.
