I can see PR's that implement functionality to allow Static Pages to use the database rather than static files, however I can't find any reference on how to use this. https://github.com/rainlab/pages-plugin/pull/368 Does anyone have any experience with this feature or can provide a link to docs? There's currently no documentation about this. If anyone can create a PR for this, that'd be great.

No problem, that's why I built it. I don't use autoscaling infrastructure, but I do use atomic deployments so I needed my clients' changes to persist across deployments.
