Hello,
First of all thank you for this plugin! For a project I would like to use October and your Multisite plugin, but since the CMS is file based it seems that I'm a bit limited in sharing content across different websites. Would there be an easy way of doing this or does this involve a lot of coding?
Not sure if you're open to suggestions but things that would be a nice addition:
- To have the preview button linked to the theme/url that is being edited, now it takes the url of the backend itself.
- To have some visual clues of the current domain you're working in. For clients with a lot of domains and a centralized CMS this can become very confusing.
Thanks again and best regards, Hugo
Hi, sorry for delay, end of a year was quite busy here. We like your ideas and we put them on our schedule. Sharing content is a tricky concept, we will think about it, but we surely can implement some handy theme switcher and the preview.
As soon as we have some time you can expect update.
Keios/Voipdeploy dev here: some of it probably, let's say symlinked assets - {{ 'path' | theme }} filter should work properly.
This works well for partials as well, especially if you use docker for deployment (like with dokku-alt) ... just have the symlinks created on build/deployment.
We are currently working on a solution to make OctoberCMS more cloud-friendly, with networked file systems like GlusterFS for themes, caches and storage, we will link to our blog post about such solution here.
Hello,
Sorry for 2 dumb question, but why in title of page "http://cms.mshome/admin/keios/multisite/settings" I see :
keios.multisite::details.description2
?
AlthoughI have file in plugin directory - lang/en/lang.php.
And why in head this page absent string:
link rel="stylesheet" href="http://cms.mshome/modules/system/assets/css/settings/settings.css?v316"
?
