Hi Alexey, Samuel + ocms hardcore users :),

first of all, thanks to your hard work on october cms! We (www.secondred.de) research the market since 3 years. And since a half year, we've found u and put our focus on you :).

The builder beta is a very cute first builder version, congratulation! In some of our project we have to integrate complex multilingual functionality, and i think in the past it has already begun to discuss about this topic -model based multilingual support. We get requirements from our customers such as

• all site navigation similiar in multilanguage, optional deactivate pages in some language
• specific site navigation per language with different content
• diffent language logics: => country specifics with different languages => "master" language for one country => country-categorisation to a region with a "master" language of the region => permission language handling, e.g. the canadian editor of a multi language company site can only administrate her own language country content

How could integrate this multilingual function ideas in the ocms core and ocms router logic, so plugins could use that too in her own model and business logic. Or exist no plan to develop a more complex multilanguage support?

The next big think is the implemented media manager, he looks good and has a nice usabiliy. Are u planned to expand this module e.g. store media meta information to the database and build a more complex form widget (set filter (ratio, min width/height...), set allowed extension to select,...)? And are u planned to save a relation with a database entry and the the filebased datastore? Because we think we found a big problem: If you select a image, use that in a form, all cool. But next time, another user logged in, navigate to your media manager and relocate/moved a selected file to another folder. The path of that file will be changed, but in your form model - the path will be the same. This is simple the worst case szenario... ;)

As short summary - our questions:

If exist, whats your "multilingual plan" next time? Do you plan to expand your media manager?

This is very important for us to know and - to plan and to decide the next steps in our company (bear in mind to use october in our projects). And your medium-term of your dev focus is important for us to decide for our own module / plugin development. We can well imagine to participate of october cms with our ideas (implement/expand etc.).

No reply, but as you may know. Translate plugin is available and integrated even better in latest builds.

We have no immediate plans to implement the features mentioned. It may come in the future. However, nothing stops you from writing a plugin to use yourself, or from contributing the features to the core. This is an open source project after all.
