Hi, I'm actually hosting a user generated wallpapers website using Wordpress. But I want to switch to something more user friendly that will allow my visitors to upload any wallpapers though the frontend, like imgur. So after looking for some frameworks, I discovered OctoberCMS (based on Laravel). Before wasting my time on developing something that will work or not, I would like to know if OctoberCMS is a good choice regarding what I want to achieve ? Or perhaps I should go for Laravel instead ?

Regards, dwix.

I'm inclined to say "yes", because I've yet to find something that I can't build with October. It lets you do everything Laravel does, with all of the tedious backend nonsense taken care of. But keep in mind, you're asking people who already love October if they'd recommend October... You might get a less biased answer from the general Laravel community, or from somewhere like Reddit :)

I can say October CMS fits great to your needs. I worked on Drupal 7/8, SilverSripe, Bitrix, Concrete5, SymfonyCMF, Orchard, Umbraco, MODx, Yoomla, Wordress, Altesco, Magnolia. So I can compare CMS`s. My decision October CMS most friendly CMS i have seen. And not only for developers. Here you can easy build admin interface your clients ever need.
