Hello guys,

I'm new to October CMS and this is the first time that I'm writing here so I hope that I'm not posting this question on wrong address. Anyway, I got task to import news from web on a website. Basically, the idea is to feature the most relevant recent news from some industry and admin will be able to copy/paste the external link and system should auto generate featuring image, title, and short description. What is the best way to achieve this on October CMS, did I missed some plugin, I tried couple of them but no luck or should I create that by my own?

Thanks in advance

You could install RainLab.Blog and then write a second Importer plugin yourself to automatically generate/import the blog posts based on URLs you feed into it. Otherwise creating your own plugin could be suitable as well. It depends on the low level requirements

Since I'm new to this I guess the best solution for me is to use a blog for now. Thank you for the advice I appreciate your time
