Hello: I'm using the rainlab translate plugin to enable multi-language. I have some {%content%} files that I use in some other pages, and now I'm needing to translate that content files. I have no trouble with the pages and partials, but can't get the {%content%} files translated. I use this: {{ "My text to translate"|_ }} with ease, but if I try to use this method in the content files, it appears as is. Thanks in advance, and greetings.

Hi Julio,

The translate plugin activates a feature in the CMS that allows content files to use language suffixes, for example:

  • welcome.htm will contain the content in the default language.
  • welcome.ru.htm will contain the content in Russian.
  • welcome.fr.htm will contain the content in French.

See the plugin documentation

so simply i just need to create mypage.fr.htm and place it next to mypage.htm and in frontend when i select french language while i'm in mypage, Translate plugin will make the CMS load mypage.fr.htm?

{{ "My text to translate"|_ }} methode couldn't translate long text for some reason, so i thought this suffixes methode would work instead but it didn't, what do you think?
