Ok, so this is strange. I'm still getting October up and running. I have a test site up and it's worked fine for two days. I just attempted to pull it up and log into the backend but while the site appears fine, I am getting the following error when I try to log in:
A user was found to match all plain text credentials however hashed credential "password" did not match.
So.... how does one fix this? I have changed absolutely nothing with any sort of hashing or back end access. A little help, please?
We've encountered the exact same issue several times recently. Is this a known issue, and is there a workaround? Thanks
Yep, just happened to me!
In my case the bug occurred after changing the password for the backend admin of an older site that was updated to a more recent version a little while ago. Not the first time either, this happened multiple times before on other sites. Strange.
Did you try flushing any cookie to see if that makes a difference?
It would be nice to identify what events are triggering this bug. The more details the better.

That is a good tip! Too late now :(
Whatever is causing this is hiding it's tracks...... it's like the 007 of bugs.
By the way,
I usually solve this by copy/pasting the password hash of a password I know directly into the database.
