First, Thanks for making this plugin free of charge to the October community.

I have a question about the plugin, is it possible somehow to generate the gallery input while the slideshow is showing, for instance as an ajax call to a php function as part of the "pre load" of contents.

It's not possible yet, because images are not static. Component takes the path from database and load it accordingly from the uploads/public folder.
