If I understand correctly, you would be interested by having slides displayed on time intervals, instead of choosing a start and an end, choosing for instance a day in the week, and the slide would only be displayed this day?

No, I meant to have ability to enter slides change interval in milliseconds through the admin interface. As when you add the component to a page and you got options that were registered with registerSettings() in Plugin.php. Now that time interval is available to set only via htm files
