Hello. I installed and swapped a richeditor field for this and I have this error.
BlockCraft: Vite manifest not found at "\public_html\plugins/amjadiqbal/blockcraft/assets/dist/.vite/manifest.json". Run npm run build in the blockcraft plugin directory.
~/plugins/amjadiqbal/blockcraft/classes/ViteResolver.php line 106
Should this work out of the box? Thank-you
Hi, thanks for reporting this. Yes, it should work out of the box.
Versions 0.1.0 and 0.1.1 had a packaging bug: the compiled editor assets weren't included in the release, so every install showed this exact "Vite manifest not found" error. It's fixed in 0.1.2, which ships the built files, so no npm run build is needed.
To update:
- Marketplace install: Settings → Updates & Plugins → Check for updates, or run
php artisan october:update - Composer install:
composer update amjadiqbal/blockcraft-plugin, thenphp artisan october:migrate - No SSH/Composer (shared hosting): download the v0.1.2 zip and replace the contents of
plugins/amjadiqbal/blockcraftwith the files inside the zip's top folder (make sureassets/distis included).
Then clear the cache (php artisan cache:clear) and reload the form. The editor should load.
If it still doesn't, post your October CMS version and how you installed the plugin, and I'll take a look.
