Hello, it' my first post but I've been using October for 2 months now.
In my current project I'm trying to make most of the website manageable from the client perspective. So far I had great success thanks to the amazing Static Page plugin. Still I'm in a bit of a corner right now.
I'm trying to add a Galery to a Static Page. The problem I'm facing is that I'm not able to use a snippet for the gallery management since snippets don't take MediaManager argument.
In my mind what would be the best is add a snippet in wich the client has to chose a folder (from the MediaManager) containing the images he want to display in that gallery. I can't use a plugin, or don't know how to tell it to use a certain gallery based on the id, since the gallery id is linked to the layout of the page and I'm using the same layout in multiple instances.
Sorry for the broken English, it's obviously not my main langage :)
Hi,
If you plan to make a gallery its more easier to use a plugin, also for your customer. Did you check gallery plugins here? http://octobercms.com/plugins/search?search=gallery
