I'm trying to upgrade from Build 216 to Build 225, but keep getting a Connection Timed Out error. This is a fresh CMS install with a migrated database.

Seems to be related to the extractcore function, according to dev tools.

I've made sure that my permissions are set correctly. The site is currently on a Dreamhost shared server.

I am at a loss as to what is causing this issue. I expect this to be an issue caused by a php.ini file that I cannot modify, but I'm not sure.

Has anyone else run across this?

You may need to increase or disable the timeout limit on your webserver. For example, Apache's FastCGI sometimes has the -idle-timeout option set to 30 seconds.

I believe that setting is in the php.ini file that I don't have access to. If that's the only solution, then I'll have to move the site to a VPS before it can be fixed.

If you are not your own host of the website it would be best to call the support of the company which provides your webserver ^^

@Nolan: You can set a custom php.ini on Dreamhost shared hosting. While it's not for the beginner, the details are on their Wiki. (I am using DH for my websites and have been trying to get OctoberCMS installed).
