I'm working on a project where we have both plugins and a module in play. However looking at the code it seems all the module logic could fit inside a plugin?

So I just wanted to ask what the actual difference between the two are? Are there any examples of use cases that can clear this up?

Plugins are Octobers way of adding modular functionality to the installation.

The term module is not really used.
