This forum is supposed to be for people to request new plugins as well as get help for them. I have written a few private plugins for clients now and I want to give back to the October community (and the Laravel/Symfony guys as well of course) by writing at least one free public plugin. I guess there are other people on the forum in the same position.

So what do you want? What would be of the most used to you? As long as it does not involve social media then I will consider it. If it does, then another more social person may consider it ;-)

Axomat PS I am probably the oldest geek here as well. My first programme was written on a teletype machine, because the one in our college was free that day, after that I had to use punched cards.The ICL mainframe often went down because the water cooled memory had a leak, not a bug, a water leak and it was rusty.

Right now I think October needs an equivalent of PHPR's Notify module with driver support for SMS, Email, Push notification vendors so you can pick the one of your choice. For a driver implementation check the MenuManager class from my Menu Lists plugin.

I was thinking about a notify plugin anyway because my main client would benefit from it so thanks for the steer.

I've started to develop the SmsSender plugin, witch is free, maybe we can extend / rewrite it is the way Flynsarmy talks ?

Yes I agree, I had a look at your plugin and it is very close to what is required. I will install it and then suggest some V2 developments.

Actually it's not implemented and as I don't have time for SmsSender plugin I won't implement it for now.
