Hello October team. First of all great job on October, it is an amazing platform. However i would suggest you add multilingual support to the core, for example having pages with different languages, blog posts etc. Something universal in the core, something like ImpressPages uses. Don't know if it makes sense or not. Otherwise it is a great platform. Keep up the great work.

The request is for having it baked into the core, not as a plugin.

Hi,

I already proposed this to daftspunk, and he said;

Samuel Georges said: We considered this idea early on, it creates mess and complexity everywhere for single-language sites who don't care for these features (majority). The RainLab.Translate plugin should be capable of handling this by extension, that is the power of October.

So Jakobf is right,

Translate Plugin does that, check it out

Check out also the RainLab.Translate.Behaviors.TranslatableModel. It can translate Model easily.

I agree that this should be added to core, but not for the moment, because

  1. October CMS start to grow, and the goal is to be easy. Not obligate to use translation.
  2. The plugin is not ready for this, and it's poor of function for developers.

See octobercms/october #1287 and rainlab/pages-plugins #32.
