I have tried to install October on Centos, and first I've upgraded php to 5.4.28. Next I've installed the other required extensions but MCrypt which gives me an error (I think it still uses the one for PHP 5.3). When I to to install page I get no content but a red stripe (maybe an error placeholder). Any ideas how to get past this?
Thank you!
I don't know how you did the installation of the server but i normally use this site like reference: HowtoForge
Has many tutorials, maybe you found some things to help.
thanks! I just realised that the php wasn't properly installed. Fixed it but now I only have permissions issues (I've set 777 but still doesn't work) and mcrypt extension won't install
I also have the same issue with my file permission on my Fedora Heisenburg. I've set all recommended file permissions levels but it still gives me the "The installer was unable to write to the installation directories and files. Please see the documentation for more information" error. Is there anything i'm missing. All the other fields in the system check have a succesful green tick
Just checking have you included the application directory as well? It also needs to be writable by Apache (or equivalent webserver).
