I wonder if it is possible to add a :slug or :id in a static page url, to turn it into something like a "single blog post" page (using a component-based snippet), while keeping the remaining content editable by a semi-technical user. I know a static page is supposed to be ... well.. static, but in fact static page is primarily visual, in a sense of having a nice wysiwyg editor, and allows a semi-technical user to operate the website all from one place, without jumping to "CMS" section for some pages. My component (snippet) takes care of the routing, but the static page editor does not allow the ":" character in url. I'd appreciate all suggestions.
Maybe extending the CMS page markup field to be of type Rich Text editor or Markdown editor would do the trick?
Hi @mjauvin,
Thanks for your reply.
I did think about going this way, but then I realised that StaticPages is not just StaticPages - it is also a menu manager, etc, .... - I'd rather be willing to use $_GET param with something like ?id=12 with static pages instead ;-).
So far any issue I stumbled upon had a simple solution in October - so I keep my hopes high ;-)
you could still use Static Pages menu... I don't see a way to abuse a static page to achieve what you want.
