I'm new to October. I would like to have an exclusive forum channel for a selected user group. Are there any current plugins that let me implement a system where only certain front-end users can see certain forum channels?

I don't know if there a plugins that do this, but you certainly can extend the RainLab.Forum plugin in order to do this. You would also need the RainLab.User plugin.
