how do you disallow search engines in octoberCMS?

I have

User-agent: * Disallow: /

in my root folder in robots.txt, but the site still comes up for some searches....

Don't think this is an issue with OctoberCMS as such - what appears in the searches?

if you google "the market navigator learning center" our dev site comes up first. It should be this link

Was the site live before you added the robots.txt file to the root?

Think it'll just take time for Google etc to stop indexing your site, and eventually it'll disappear from the searches.

You could try adding <meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow"> to your base layout on all your pages just incase, to see if that speeds up the process?
