Looked at it for quite some time and yesterday decided to jump in October boat from WP. Installed a comments plugin for my articles, added {% component 'commentsPost' %} in blog/post.htm and there's no comments area on the frontend.

Since October is a whole different story than WP, I don't know if the module is not working or this is more aimed at devs and am I doing it wrong. Thank you for any help.

did you add the component itself to the layout or cms page?

The module card in the header before template code area? Added that too. Don't know what could be wrong.

Looks fine, did you contact the plugin author? Can you send a link to the actual plugin you're using, there are more than one...

I made it to work. Pasted the code in the wrong template file I guess. Now I'm having problems with the breadcrumbs plugin. The wrapper appears but there's no content in it.

I guess it just looks simple but it's quite a lot to learn to understand better October CMS.

It's more technical than Wordpress, but once you get it, you have so much more control. Plugins are really the work force of OctoberCMS.
