Im looking for the best performance to check whether a model instance existi n the database or not. right now i m using

CompanyModel::where( 'uen' , $data[ 'uen'] )->first();

and

CompanyModel::where( 'uen' , $data[ 'uen'] )->count();

Which one is the fastest ? Any other faster way to check this ?
