Let's say I have a name field and no matter if caps lock key is activated or not the name should be displayed and saved as 'PERSON'S NAME' instead of 'person's name'.

Is there a built-in/recommended approach to automatically set the input of text fields in uppercase?

Using a form field partial type would be the best for this.

I have added an example to the Test plugin that handles this using JavaScript:
