Here is a list of issues I cant seem to correct with this theme.
1- The menu lists displays all of the Shopaholic Categories including Sub-Categories. Is there a way to only show the main Categories 2- The footer area doesn't show any Categories or Blog Tags 3- The contact form on the contact page gives an error, I believe I have the email setting correct in October however this is the error I contine to recive. "Symfony\Component\Mime\Address::__construct(): Argument #1 ($address) must be of type string, null given, called in /home3/cguyhbmy/public_html/website_dougdesign/vendor/laravel/framework/src/Illuminate/Mail/Message.php on line 244" on line 42 of /home3/cguyhbmy/public_html/website_dougdesign/vendor/symfony/mime/Address.php 4- After adding my Mailchimp API key the Newsletter submit button doesn't provide any feed back to the user if the email address was adding to the mailing list. Also confirming at the Mailchimp website, the address is not added.
Any help on the above topics would be most helpfull.
Thank you
So I was able to finally figure out how to prevent the menu item "Catalog" from displaying sub categories by switching the "Type" to product catalog from "All categories of Products" however this creates a new issue to solve.
When you click the "Catalog" menu button it displays the "eshop/catogory page" That page renders all of the products. Is there a way to make display the sub categories for that specific category selected from the main menu.
Sorry if these are considered basic questions. I am not a developer by trade but I have been diving deep into the October CMS platform out of need for something better for my business. I am finding that alot of the instructions overall are present at a different level of end user sometimes.
My other issues still remain as I plug my way through the learning curve.
Here is a list of the remaining issues I cant seem to correct with this theme.

Any help out guidance would be very welcome regarding the matter.
So a quick update just in case other people find this useful.
Item number 3 above was resolved by me. Turns out it was operator error on my part of not realizing the contact form was using a plug in. After configuring it and setting up Gmail to use an application password to use for sending mail I was able to get it to work.
However Item 1 and 4 issues still remain. I am not sure how long it takes this developer to answer questions. Considering its been a week, I am hoping for some information soon.
