← Back to November Gallery Pro Support
Hi there, I am having an issue displaying the embed gallery on a client site.
OctoberCMS 2.0.26
November Gallery 1.0.11
All I am seeing is a placeholder for each image.
The staging site is running OctoberCMS build 473
and the gallery is display as expected.
Whether I create a gallery in November Gallery
or use a media folder
I have the same result
https://www.tongarirocrossing.org.nz/gallery
https://tongarirocrossing.staging-site.nz/gallery
When I inspect a gallery image, a thumbnail is being created in storage/app/uploads/public/...
but the thumbnail image is just a cropped placeholder image.
Any ideas, is this a bug with the plugin running on October CMS 2.0?
Cheers, Cy
Hi Cy,
Thanks for purchasing November Gallery Pro, I will look into this over the weekend. Do you have the "Use Image Resizer for image galleries" turned on or off in the plugin backend settings? Settings → November Gallery → Thumbnails page, under the section "Image Resizer Settings". In the meantime you can try turning that setting off to see if that resolves the issue.
I walked the Tongariro Crossing twenty years ago. An amazing experience!
Thanks, Laszlo
After a quick search I strongly suspect that you are running into the same issue with the image resizer plugin that someone opened a ticket for here: https://github.com/toughdeveloper/oc-imageresizer-plugin/issues/78
Apparently that functionality has been migrated to the core. You can also try completely uninstalling the "Image Resizer" plugin from your deployment.
I will investigate this further over the weekend and get back to you latest early next week. Thank you for your patience.

Hi Laszlo,
Thanks for coming back to me so quickly. After turning off image resizer the media folder gallery still doesn't work, but the November Gallery does, so happy days!
I still have image resizer installed, I didn't realize this feature had been migrated to the core. I'll check out the docs to see what the filter syntax looks like.
Thanks again Laszlo.
P.s The Tongariro Crossing sure is amazing, I have hiked it many times. I'm glad you have had the chance to experience one of New Zealand's magical destinations..
From one of the threads it is my understanding that if you have the Image Resizer plugin installed, then OctoberCMS uses that to implement the twig |resize syntax. If it isn't installed, it uses the built-in methods. So you might try to uninstall it.
But anyway I will update the demo gallery and investigate the issue.
Hi Cy, Just giving you a heads up that this will take more time on our end, I will let you know as soon as we have a new version out - hopefully sometime this week. Thanks, Laszlo
My sincere apologies for taking so long but we've finally managed to add full support for OctoberCMS v2.1+. Please let me know if you run into any issues after upgrading & we'll address it a.s.a.p.
No worries Laszlo, great that the plugin now supports the latest version of October. I'll update and check it out. Cheers
Ok, you may need to take some manual steps when you do. Please see the "Upgrade" tab on the Plugin page on the marketplace.
