Hopefully I'm missing something simple... but how could I go about showing the most recent post in my footer? As it stands, my footer is a partial so I can't exactly just add the proBlogList component to it. What's the preferred way to set this up?

So what you want to do is drop the blog list component on your page/layout. then simply use the snippet in your partial just like you would on a page. It should still recognize the aliasing and parameters. as long as the component is loading on the page.
