Hi! There is a problem with the WYSIWYG plugin when TinyMCE is selected as the editor. First, when you insert an image and click on it, it doesn't become selected. The only way to select the image is to drag it aside. Second, it's hard to nearly impossible to make the image float, so the text would wrap/flow around it. The align switch does not work as intended for images.

What would you advice? I tried a clean install of the October and still get this. The Ckeditor does not have such issue, but I'm not sure i'll be able to get along with it. You know, to find and fire up all the plugins needed, etc... Or is Ck worth trying? Anyone using it?..

You will need to submit an issue to https://github.com/anand-patel/oc-wysiwyg-editors/issues - this forum is not for third-party plugin support. I was also note that it appears that the plugin author has not been active for nearly 2 and half years, so I would recommend not using the plugin.

Yeah, that's the case... And there are no alternatives AFAIK

BennoThommo, can I ask, how would you run a blog with October? Would you use a markdown or a pure html, or wysiwyg plugin, or something more complicated? I just don't know, what to prefer. Pure MD/html are kind of tedious when it comes to, let's say, inserting tables.

It depends, I don't mind Markdown, but I have in the past for clients set up the Blog editor to use the Rich Editor that is included with October CMS. You can see this fantastic bit of code by @mjauvin: https://octobertricks.com/tricks/force-richeditor-in-rainlabblog-plugin-post-editor. Put that into your own plugin, and it'll switch out the Markdown editor for the visual editor.
