Hi,
Brand new to OctoberCMS - coming from ExpressionEngine.
My scenario is this: I have 7 blocks of content that are displayed inside a simple carousel shown 3 at a time. Each block has an image, a link to a page and some introductory text. The user should be able to add/remove blocks as they deem appropriate.
My question is can this be somehow set up in OctoberCMS/Pages without creating a plugin? I would ordinarily just create a channel and add some variables (channel fields in EE). Seems October doesn't do things like that but I can't see what the answer would be.
I know I can use variables in the layout and the Pages plugin will let the client fill them out, but this won't allow the client to add/remove autonomous blocks of content, right? Seems long-winded. Also, from the docs I see that partials are dynamic in that they can be passed variables and interact with collections. But this would assume you have a collection to use to begin with, e.g. the posts collection from the blog.
Any insight/help would be greatly appreciated, even if it's just to say there's no way to do it apart from building a plugin.
Many thanks Gavin
