I had real trouble getting October to install, the first problem was unpacking files during the install which always returned a 500 error, when i got it to install none of the css was rendered and the 500 error was still there on page loading, strangely if i hit f5 the page would refresh and load normally.
I created a web.config file to handle url rewriting uploaded that to root folder. It seems its the Asp.Net version causing the errors, so i finally down graded that and everything works as it should.
I took a few days but the October script is one i really wanted to work with so i was determined to find a way to get it working. I hope this can help others in some way.
