So, since October is out of RC state, who knows, what is the status of PostgreSQL support ? Does the core installation (cms+users) work stable with the Postgres ? How about plugins ?

We're running Postgres for all our services and definitely would like to use it for the October-powered web parts as well. But according to our past experience and other threads on this forum, it seems Postgres support is not (or was not) consistent. But maybe things changed and now everything is fine.

Or it is better to stick with MySQL ?

Thanks, Dmitri

Since OctoberCMS is built atop Laravel, DB functions are well abstracted. There were some minor issues with SQLite but that's patched. I tested OctoberCMS with PostgreSQL on Heroku, and it works pretty well! If you do however face issues with specific plugins make sure you raise an issue, it means the plugin author is using SQL statements than taking advantage of Laravel's Eloquent ORM.
