Is their a way to allow/deny permissions for plugins e.g. the blog plugin? I'm only able to manage to hide/show the regular tabs; It would be nice if certain groups could only have access to the Dashboard, Settings + individual Plugins.
Yes, try creating another Admin user and you should see the permissions can be set. You cannot set permissions for yourself.
Not sure what I did wrong, as that was exactly what I did. Steps I used:
- install blog plugin and write a blog post as admin
- system > manage groups > new administrator group (let's call it "foo" for now)
- new administrator called "bar" > check "foo" as a group
I can choose following settings for the group:
- cms [ Manage layouts, Manage pages, Manage assets, Manage content ]
- system [ Manage system settings, Manage software updates, Manage other administrators, View the dashboard ]
Now, no matter which boxes i choose, I don't have access to the blog plugin as the user "bar". What works is giving "bar" Super User privileges, but that's unfortunately not the solution I would want.
