  3. How to update a plugin without database teardown?

Hi, I am trying to update a custom built plugin (eg. run the latest update migration scripts), however, I've just noticed there is no command to do so.

plugin:refresh will destroy data from the table which I cannot afford to do.

Any help greatly appreciated.
