for some reason since ive recently updated october all datepicker widgets are displaying dates in m/d/y and not y-m-d.

Has something changed in the update?

Maybe it uses a language setting now. Try setting your backend language to English and see if it changes.

thanks. that change the format back. however now all dates are messed up. example. i save the date as.

refresh and widget say

2023-09-20

and idea. only happened since update of October

Also notice all plugin that use the data picker are having the same problem. The Pro Blog plugin 'Published On' date say:

0001-09-20

but the date in the database is:

2016-09-01 00:00:00

its reverse. What could be causing this.

Looks like it maybe down to backend theme. if i deactivate it its fine. Strange because it was fine until the October update. maybe Octobers new widget are conflicting

Just an update I've update backend themes l_head layout to match octobers new _head layout and its working!

can you elaborate a bit more please phplee on your solution ? im facing the same issue with all my date picker since the last october updates as well

Are you using backend theme plugin?

I can't remember what exactly i change in the _head.htm file as ive made a few alterations since. I can send you my version and see if it helps you.

The date format issue was down to a plug called 'Backend Theme' which i was using, I altered the plugin which solved the problem.
