When installing on shared hosting, I get following error: Connection failed: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user 'username'@'localhost' (using password: YES) There is a problem with the specified Database configuration.

All info is set correct. Database user should have sufficient rights.

I needed to specify a different host address. Now it works. I don't have so much experience with (manual) installing mysql cms's, I usually use flat-file cms's or I use an install script via Softaculous.
