I'm trying to install a theme from the installer to no avail I tried restart the installation 30 times and get same result, error files corrupted, is there anyway to solve this? btw I opted for october cms as it seemed easier and faster to develop maybe I was wrong?

Try installing with no theme selected, then you can install the theme via the backend just as easily. Maybe it will have a different result?

so which option shall I select from the installer? there's three options, I was trying to speed up the process, first one implies you need to code a theme yourself.

tried without any theme doesn't work, get error could not extract application files, is there a way to solve this?

It sounds like maybe your webserver has a timeout limit and this limit is being reached. Check the web server error logs for clues, or find out what the limit is, most default settings is only 30 seconds and this isn't enough.

ok, now I've tried on another host, installation completed successfully although if I try to open either the front end or back end I get error 500
do you have any tips on how to solve this?

hi i have xampp version 3.2.1 and php version 5.6.3 i want installing octobr cms but show : Test connection to the installation server can i solved it?

It sounds like your server cannot make outgoing connections to the gateway on port 80. Contact your internet provider or IT support area.
