I've uploaded the startbootstrap freelancer theme on themes folder, I can see it from the backend but when I click on "activate" I get "page not found" any ideas?

anyone? can someone at least give me a hint on how to solve this

Hi, have you got all the required files within your theme folder that are outlined here: https://octobercms.com/docs/themes/development, especially the theme.yaml & version.yaml files, each with the correct info in?

not really, I've downloaded the theme at startbootsrap as is, those files were not present, so does this imply that the theme is actually not ready for october cms production and need customization? in that case it I believe it shouldn't be presented and published in the "themes" library as ready to use.

I think the theme.yaml & version.yaml files are best practice, not 100% sure if they're required as I've always had them in my themes, never really tried removing them - just try adding them to the theme you've downloaded and fill in the details as per the link above and see if the theme is accepted
