Did you manage to find out a solution for this? My installation broke after I made some changes to the theme... now my homepage show that error even if I have a page for that location (/).

@daniel this issue took me a couple of days. I did checked all of my plugins and this plugin name Redirect is the issue. I'll try to visit the redirect log (site/backend/vdlp/redirect/logs), (site/backend/vdlp/redirect/redirects) and delete the source path "/" with the HTTPS STATUS CODE (301 - Permanent) and it works. i think you should try it too.
