Hi,

I have just done a completely new install and am trying to get to the backend for the site. The site is on ess_october.loc and works fine with the demo theme. When I try to go to ess_october.loc/backend, the URL redirects to ess_october.loc/http://ess_october.loc/backend/backend/auth and gives me a 'Page not found'.

I have looked into mod_rewrite; which appears to be on and working. I have had a look at .ht_access RewriteBase /; which didn't really do anything when uncommented.

I am a bit stumped and would appreciate and help.

Open this file config/app.php and check to make sure the debug value is set to true. This should show a more detailed message if the backend area is failing for some reason.

I'm running into this as well.

A custom plugin that has been working for a while just stopped working, but only in the backend. It keeps throwing a 404, but it works fine in the API and such. Just trying to reach it through the backend is the problem.
