There has been numerous suggestions by authors to stop sending email notifications when a free product is added to a project.
You can now disable this notification by navigating to Account > Settings > Author Settings and untick the checkbox:
Notify me when someone adds a free product to their project
You should no longer receive email notifications about free products.
