I am working for a long time with WordPress, and most of the time I use only one plugin, it's Advanced Custom Fields. So I have custom frontEND from scratch, while WordPress servers only as an admin panel for managing data.

Some time ago I stumbled across octoberCMS, and as I see, it has no alternative for it. It has some plugins with similar custom fields functionality, but no nested repeaters, no image fields, no conditioning, or some other downsides.

So, the first question is: Are there any reliable alternatives to ACF custom fields in OctoberCMS?

Second one: Is there any need for the community for such a plugin?

Features I mean:

  1. Wysiwyg editor
  2. Text field
  3. Image field
  4. Video field
  5. Colorpicker
  6. Datepicker
  7. Select
  8. Group field like a group in the ACF
  9. Conditional groups, like for an example group that will appear only on a blog page with a certain layout type.
  10. Repeater field
  11. Ability to nest Repeater and Group fields into Repeater and Group fields
  12. Ability to show or hide some fields based on some conditions. For example, if the field "title" is empty, the field "subtitle" will not be shown. Or if we select "Slider without description", there will be only an "image" field inside a repeater, and the "description" field will be hidden.

The equivalent in October is the RainLab.Builder plugin that enables you to relatively easily scaffold out your own custom plugins with whatever lists and forms and models you need to represent your data. You'll still probably want to dive into the October docs at some point, but it's an excellent starting point.
