Hello, I've nstall this theme but when try to configure in backend everything shows me theme.newshub::lang.option.site_logo_inverted.label.

Ive see that is in child theme, change locale in .env file to bg, create in child dir language and other files inside config with bg translation, but it doesn't work.

What can i do?

this translation bug is (sometimes) a result of the new / old RainLab.Translate plugin in combination with OctoberCMS v3.

In order to be able to reproduce this, can you please tell me the exact OctoberCMS and RainLab.Translate version you're using? You can find both version numbers on the administration page under Settings > System > System Updates.

Sometimes it helps to scan for messages using the Settings > Translate > Translate Messages backend menu.

Hello Sam, I saw in forum your topic, but unfortunately i'm using October v.2 and Translate plugin 1.12 (can't update to v.2). Tried everything from scaning in translate plugin, uninstall/install theme again but still nothing.

are you using the latest stable release of NewsHub (v1.2.2) or the latest GitHub master branch? The latter one contains the current development process, which is not tested against OCv2 (yet) and may contains some (more) bugs, strange behaviours or "unworking" settings.

However, I cannot reproduce the mentioned issue with v1.2.2 (using OCv2 + Translate v1.12), only with the unreleased v1.3.0 (which should now work again with the latest commit).

If you're using v1.2.2 please open a console, visit your OctoberCMS installation and type in the following commands (the CLI may uncovers an error that is not displayed in the backend):

php artisan translate:scan (maybe also with --purge, but this could break some other plugins or custom translations)

if this runs without any errors use

php artisan cache:clear php artisan view:clear

Hello, I'm using v 1.2.2 (php artisan theme:install ratmd.newshub) I do all the steps that you point, but still nothing. I can hardcode translation in label form not a big deal.

If you find something will be so glad.

I probably found a working solution.

1. Disable the NewsHub theme (in case you already modified something, uninstall and re-install the theme completely)
2. Visit the /themes folder and rename ratmd-newshub into newshub (keep the ratmd-newshub-child folder untouched)
3. On the "Frontend Theme" admin page, click on "Manage" > "Editor Properties" -> "Advanced" and use "Newshub" as "Parent Theme"
4. Save Properties and re-activate the theme.
5. Translations should now work again.
