Back to Form Builder Support

Hi there,

We've installed the plugin and created the form but it's not showing up on the page In the inspector, we can see the following HTML code.

<figure data-component="Renatio\FormBuilder\Components\RenderForm" data-inspector-id="inspectorid-576579713782" data-property-custom_redirect="" data-property-formcode="2019-airport-welcome-desk-competition" data-property-redirect="" data-snippet="renderForm1">&nbsp;</figure>

So far we've done the followings:

  1. We've installed the plugin and it was working correctly
  2. We've created & saved form in the backend
  3. We've added the form onto the page via the 'Snippets' and selected the form in the popup.
  4. We've checked and can confirm both framework.js & framework.extra.js are loaded on the page
  5. We've found this support ticket https://octobercms.com/plugin/support/renatio-formbuilder/help but have no idea where this to place the {% component 'renderForm' %} code. Also it was last updated 3 years ago so we're not sure whether this is still applicable.
  6. We've also checked the event log but here's no relevant entry suggesting any issues.

Any chance you could take a look at the issue and let us know what we did wrong? Thanks.

Hi,

sorry for late response, I was on summer holidays.

I just followed your steps and added Form to Static Page as Snippet. It is showing on the page and it is working.

Do you see it if you use component on CMS Page to display it?

Hi there,

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, we previously setup the page and you can see it here: https://dev.glideagency.com/study-perth/form-builder . Basically, we can't seem to see the form on the page even through in the source code inspector, we can see the

code as mentioned earlier.

Is it possible if we setup an admin account on the website for you to take a close look at the issue? If so, could you please provide an email address. Alternative you could also reach me at calvin[@]glideagency.com

Thanks.

I think I managed to replicate your issue.

I changed Richeditor to Source mode and then saved the page. It will save it like you mentioned earlier:

<figure data-component="Renatio\FormBuilder\Components\RenderForm" data-inspector-id="inspectorid-383499795500" data-property-custom_redirect="" data-property-formcode="renatio.formbuilder::contact" data-property-redirect="" data-snippet="renderForm">&nbsp;</figure>

If you change Richeditor to Visual mode and then save the page it will render the Form correctly. Please check this out.

Hi there,

Thanks for looking into the issue. I've just followed your instructions but it doesn't seem to make any differences. I've setup an admin account for you, would you mind taking a look at the issue for us in the backend.

You should be receiving an email containing the login details very shortly.

Thanks again for your assistance on the issue.

Hi there,

We were wondering if you had the chance to take a look at our issue in the past few days? Thanks.

Thanks.

Hi there,

Thanks for your assistance earlier to confirm there's some conflicts between this plugin and the 'Static Pages' plugin.

We were wondering if there's a permanent solution so that admin can start using the 'form' widget on those pages in the backend?

Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.

I have this issue as well. Is there any way to get this fixed?

I have a similar problem with my own plugin's component... but this seems to be a caching issue because after running php artisan cache:clear my element shows up again. So to me it looks more like a problem inside static pages plugins since does not trigger a cache-refresh every time.... which it should, every time I hit the save button ;-) . . . . Ok, problem seems to be f**up caching due to a little timing issue in my dev system I use romainmazb.tailwindboilerplate -> I have two theme folders. When I hit save october looks for changes and cannot find them in the theme-folder /themes/mytheme because I actually work in themes/mytheme-src so the cache is not updated. October is long done when tailwindboilerplate's sync webpack-magic starts working and syncs the new files to theme/mytheme And when the page is rendered the data-inspector-id in the inserted figure does not match the cached one...

So when the data-inspector-id in the cache does not match the one in the orig. file the output is not rendered...why ever the static-pages works like that anyway. So in production with just one theme folder it works for me so far...
