I was wondering if there was a way to test the WebP conversion as I can't seem to verify that it works in my setup.

Chrome is a compatible browser and yet I still see jpg files generated and displayed.

I am using fairly standard linux hosting with htaccess (and I can confirm the code has been added there automatically by the plugin).

Is anything logged by the plugin to your system.log file? Be aware that the plugin only converts images in the storage folder and not from your theme.
