Hi there,

First, I want to apologize for posting in the plugin review with my problem - I did not realize this was the place for support. If possible, I will change my review.

Onto my problem...

Currently, I am having an issue implementing your plugin "work" on my website. I have indeed checked the README file which highlights the needed libraries and jquery that is needed for it to function. I can definitely say these are all in place, but still nothing is working for me. Am I missing a setting somewhere that I do not know about?

For reference, here is my site and the page the plugin lives on so you can see for yourself there are no errors: https://www.marcswebstudio.com/portfolio-2

Thank you for any help. It's very much appreciated! I hope I can find a solution soon. :)

Cheers,

-Marc

Hi Marc. I would appreciate if you could change the negative review of my plugin ;-).

You can take a look to my website (http://individuart.net). If you open your browser console you can see that when you click on the view project button an ajax call is made.

In your project there's no ajax call. I have checked your javascript and it looks like a piece of javascript is missing. Check the file work.js and take a look at the function associated to .work__button and .work__category.

Regards.

Jesús.

Jesús, thank you for the timely response.

Thanks for your insight - I was able to compare your website with my own and I could definitely see the ajax call not being made within my console. Funny enough though, after reviewing your javascript, I can see how everything works... so I went ahead and copied your javascript directly to the console and ran on the page with success. I cannot figure out why the code is not working out of the box... so that is the next step.

For another test, I was able to take the code and put it into a custom.js file and run it with great success as well. Not sure why the plugin is having an issue?

Any idea on what steps I should take next to get the plugin working out of the box? Of course the way I have patched it is not ideal or with best practices in mind (and not future update proof).

***Side Question: Is it possible to overwrite the workdetail.htm file as a partial? I'm having difficulty getting this to work as well. Thanks for the help!

Hi Marc. I would appreciate if you could change the negative review of my plugin ;-). I don't know exactly what are you talking about when you say "work out of the box". The plugin has its own scripts and css to work properly and without dependencies of the octobercms' core. Thank you for your review and I hope you can change your review of the plugin.
