Hey guys,

first of all, I am very happy with the OctoberCMS, it's nice to have such a flexible and lightweight structure for the Laravel framework.

I have some questions, that I am sure are kind of beginner questions. I already read quite a bunch of docs, but did not find an answer here. So here are my questions:

  1. I would like to use a partial for a repeating html-element (a box with h2,h3,p). Now I would like to improve the partial display in the backend for my customer, so that the input field for the p-tag is a textarea instead of a textfield. Is it possible to change it in the backend directly, I do I need to change the cms code, and if so, where?

I also would like to display the actual inputs (without formatting of course) directly in the partial element, if it was set up. Currently only the partial graphics is displayed without the content.

  1. The database structure of the October CMS does not use any foreign keys relations or any other nice InnoDB features, although the setup is an InnoDB - Why is this? I mean InnoDB rules are very nice to ensure 100% valid database data....

  2. I have seen that the console installer also installs a doctrine layer. What db abstraction does OctoberCMS use, doctrine or eloquent?

  3. Couldn't find a manual page about programming a backend widget. Maybe I am just unable to use the manual correctly .... ;)

Thanks a lot for help! Greetings
