Hello for OCMS community

I want to verify this this update is in your plan or at least to request that feature I find it will be just awesome feature , If this feature already posted I am sorry in advanced

Problem Description We use the update feature in backend to update the system for core software , plugin or theme , the problem is the software updater is not selectable that means if I make any change in my home layout that called layout and there some code it will be replaced with the new one

for example : theme called ABC have a default layout called "default.htm" and the user make some changes and customization in that layout. After while the user added some new plugin to the project and make update for the software the updater seems to compare the current layout file with the new one and of course it will be replaced with original version and the customized layout will lost.

here what I am taking about

Solution May be there are different solution but I think it will be better to make that updater selectable to give the user to select what he want to update (:

Thank you.

What I've been doing to keep my changes to a given theme from being overwritten: when I download a theme I immediately copy the theme folder and rename it (usually putting my own initials into the folder title). This way I can work on my own copy of the theme and not have to worry about it being overwritten. Plus, I get to keep an unchanged original version of the downloaded 3rd party theme, which tends to be useful if I need to refer back to it to see how certain features are meant to work and display.
